One of Emily Dickinsons poems that I am writing about that has an essential truth is ‘’I heard a fly buzz when I died’’. The essential truth that Dickinson writes about in this poem is death . The essential death is represented in this poem by the lady when she is dying has her death ruined by the buzzing of the fly. So what I think Dickinson is saying is that death should be peaceful and quite and not have anything annoying buzzing around you when you are dying.
What I think of Dickinsons truth of death in this poem is that it would be nice to have it completely quite but it possibly can not be completely quite when you are dying. There will always be something that will be making noise. So that is my thoughts on Emily Dickinsons truths.
