What does Emily Dickinson think about an essential truth?

In Emily Dickinson’s “Because I could not stop for Death,” the author conveys the idea that we should not be afraid of death, and rather view it as a simple transfer from our completed lives.  Through a series of words such as “kind,” “leisure,” and “civility,” all arranged in the poem, the idea that “death is a considerate and well-mannered happening,” brings across a peaceful viewpoint on death.

What do I think about this essential truth?

Although I can really appreciate the positive and bright attitude which Emily Dickinson’s “Because I could not stop for Death,” carries, I cannot say that I entirely agree with her underlying statement.  I believe that virtually all things are dependable and varying, being that some situations, attitudes, and truths apply to some peoples in any particular state of affairs whereas different situations, attitudes, and truths apply to others in the same particular state of affairs.  For your own self, in general, I believe that death should be viewed and experienced in many different ways.  For example, after living a [self] fulfilling life and securing your eternity, I believe that death is a “nice guy,” simply applying that passage way to what lies beyond our known lives.  I believe that in this case, it should be view such as it is in “Because I could not stop for Death.”  However, upon living an empty, unsatisfying, and unsure life, I believe that death, not necessarily should, but rather is viewed as a fearful event which dreaded.  Then, there is the instance where a someone’s life is shrouded in pain and suffering, causing one to view death as the relief, the freedom, the way out of misery.  In this case, death would be thought of as a good Samaritan, a deliverer, and a rescuer; death would be welcomed.  Therefore, I cannot say that I disagree with Emily Dickinson.  But,  I would say that I do not think that death should or is always to be view as a considering and courteous taxi driver.  I believe that it sometimes can and should be, and that those who do view it as that are better off in both life and death.  However, I also believe that it is often and reasonably view as a fearful, or on the other extreme, a welcomed event.
