I Hear a Fly buzz, When I Died

Emily Dickenson’s poem “I Heard a Fly Buzz When I Died”  explains her thoughts on the  essential message that maybe this moment before you die is not the climax of your life. She explained how the fly was an annoyance that took over this whole moment of life that was suppose to be all about herself. She thought this moment in life was the climax on determining who she was, which was an important person. In the end the fly was more important than herself. It was even more important than death, so dying isn’t something we should just focus on but we should focus on living.

Overall, I would have to agree with Emily Dickenson on this because we focus too much on the end that we don’t enjoy the little things of life that’s important to us. The fly represents us in a way that shows how not living your life to the fullest is an annoyance to us on our death bed. That’s just a way that most of us don’t want to die, which is with regret. So we should just start living now and enjoy life.
