The writers each have different opinions, but both stories state that you should speak out for your opinion no matter what.Dick schaap, describes the life of Muhammad Ali as a young boxer with little experience, who later grew up into a very interesting person with an important opinion. The boxer's personality changes over this period of time as well as mature. Ernest Hemingway describes writers during WWII, who are being subjected to a strict writing mold that these writers are expected to follow. He disagrees with this idea and states that each writer needs to write about what they want to write about.
These opinions are important to all writers. Writers need to write about what they want to write about because they can not show their full potential if they do not write about one of their own opinions.

  1. i agree with the author of this blog. I think the story does say that people change over time. It just depends on their situation. Ali did grow from an unexperienced fighter to a champion.

  2. I do agree with this author because Muhammad Ali is an unexperienced boxer who eventually found himself as an different person and sharing what he believed in and did different things to show it.

  3. I don't agree with this author of the post, only because Muhammad Ali did not have an opinion, he was just the subject of "Now and Then." This response is a bit too choppy and needs more flow. However when it comes down to writing "They can not show their full potential if they do not write about one of their own opinions" I believe if a writer is a "good" writer they can write from any perspective.
