In this story the narrarator describes, Muhhamad Ali, as a child that grows up. In the beginning Cassius Clay is a little child at first, he doesnt really know what he is able, and not able to do. He doesnt know what Cheesecake is, and he takes a reporter around in his car, and he asks him to stay with him because he is cool. But then slowly he starts to grow up, and Dick Schaap's opnion changes. He says that Ali was a good person, and that he grew up to be a awesome icon.
This opinion is very important because it is a growing up story. This is an american hero, and even a African American Idol. He was both because the fact that people thought that he would be an cheap boxer. He proved them all wrong, and they were shocked at what he had done in his lifetime. While he changed from a child into a full grown adult people had seen many changes, they had seen him mature.
